Proposed Union with Newbattle
St Nicholas Buccleuch and Newbattle have been exploring the possibility of union between the two congregations since April 2022. Joint services have been held. We have supported and participated in one another's congregational activities. The Kirk Sessions have discussed the proposal separately many times and have met together in conference.
On the demission of the Rev Sandy Horsburgh on 30th April 2025 the congregation will be uniting with Newbattle Parish and a Service of Union will take place on Sunday 22nd June 2025 at either Mayfield and Easthouses Church or Newtongrange Church. Services will continue in St Nicholas Buccleuch until Sunday 15th June 2025.
