St

Sundays at St Nicholas Buccleuch
The 9.30 Service
At this service, the music is led by a small
praise band and the music is predominantly modern. After the opening praise and
prayer and a brief talk from the minister, the children of the congregation go
to the Youth Group while the adults break into two discussion groups which are
led by elders. The congregation comes together again for the conclusion of the
service. Communion is celebrated approximately once every two months.
The 11.00 Service
At this service, the music is accompanied on
the Church Organ and praise is predominantly chosen from the Church Hymnary
(Fourth Edition) published by the Church of Scotland in 2005 and encompasses a
range of traditional and more modern hymns. The style of the service is more
traditional and includes a sermon. Communion is celebrated at this service on
Easter Sunday and on the second Sunday of May and the first Sunday of November.
Joint services at 10.30 a.m. are held from
time to time. Please check the Church Diary section.
Special services are organised around
Christmas and Easter.
Coffee is served between the services and a
light lunch is served after the 11.00 a.m. service.
